The 60 acre property that is now known as Diamond Mountain includes a stately home built by the President of the New York State Medical Society in 1941, which we now lovingly refer to as The Diamond House. When purchased, the home was decorated in high 1970s style (think lime green shag carpets) and filled with quirky antiques. In addition to living here and running our crystal sales studio from The Diamond House, we are currently working on some much-needed renovations to its interior, transforming the space into a cozy mining-themed bed & breakfast! Can you imagine a digging trip that ends with a soak in a hot tub under the stars, a game of pool surrounded by colorful cases of minerals, and a beer by the fire pit chatting with other like-minded diggers? Us too!

The Diamond Suite
Our first overnight accommodation, The Diamond Suite, is located in the historic home on the Diamond Mountain property that we call The Diamond House. Comfortably accommodating two guests, the suite is surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows that fill the space with light and offer commanding views of the Mohawk River and valley below. The rental includes access to beautiful outdoor spaces: Adirondack chairs and a gas “fire barrel” style fireplace to enjoy while taking in the views. The suite also features natural elements in its architectural details, mining-themed décor, and a spectacular case of mineral specimens for you to enjoy.
This is truly beautiful and unique place to make some unforgettable memories.

The space
The Diamond Suite is a private rental consisting of three spacious rooms: A cozy bedroom surrounded by windows featuring a king size bed and working fireplace, a kitchen area with a dining space, and a large and beautiful bathroom with waterfall shower feature. Guests have complete privacy with their own separate entrance to the suite.
*Note: Crystal mining access is not included in the rental and admission must be purchased separately
